Project Description

The project included the construction, procurement, installation, upgrade, testing, precommissioning training, start-up and commissioning for the improvement of the Jeddah main berth 1 and the utilization and upgrade of the Jeddah main berth 2.

The main items of work comprised :
  • Improvement main berth 1: demolition of existing submerged breasting dolphin, construction of 3 new breasting dolphins and six new mooring dolphins including quick release mooring hooks, integrated capstans, associated  electrical/ mechanical works and cathodic protection works.
  • Upgrade main berth 2: construction of 4 new mooring dolphins, which included quick release mooring hooks with integrated capstans, replacing of fenders, extension of service platform, associated electrical/mechanical works and cathodic protection works.
