Message from the CEO

I am both honored and humbled to step into the role of CEO of Archirodon. For over 36 years, I have had the privilege of contributing to this Group, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer. During this time, I’ve witnessed firsthand the growth, resilience, and transformation of Archirodon into a global EPC leader. This experience has given me a profound appreciation for our legacy and a clear vision for our future.

As I take on this new role, I am filled with a deep sense of responsibility to continue the legacy of excellence that has defined us since 1959. Our organization has thrived by meeting the ever-changing demands of our industry, driven by our core values and deeply rooted ethos

A part of Archirodon for more than 36 years, Hazem has been instrumental in driving the Group’s growth and strategic direction. Before his appointment as CEO in October 2024, he served as Chief Operating Officer since 2016 and President of AIC Group since 2013, significantly strengthening Archirodon's regional presence and operational excellence.

During his career at Archirodon, Hazem has overseen complex projects across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia, excelling in Regional Management, Operations, and Project Controls. His strategic insight and business acumen have driven the company’s market positioning and sustainable growth.

As CEO, Hazem is focused on expanding Archirodon’s global reach, enhancing its service portfolio, and upholding the company’s legacy of excellence. He is dedicated to fostering strong client relationships and ensuring seamless project delivery.

Hazem holds a B.Sc. in Structural/Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo and has completed advanced programs at the American University in Cairo and INSEAD. He is a member of the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Costas Loukos, Archirodon's Chief Operating Officer-Sustainable Infrastructure since October 2024, has been an integral part of the Group for over 32 years.

He joined Archirodon in 1992, and quickly progressed to key positions including Project Manager for Dredging and Reclamation, leading significant projects across Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

In 2003, he took on the role of the Dredging and Pipelaying Division Director, where he was instrumental in establishing the Division, focusing on efficient tendering, execution, and resource optimization for major projects over the following 20 years. With his extensive expertise and leadership, Costas successfully guided the Division through numerous prestigious projects, strengthening  Archirodon’s market presence.

As COO-Sustainable Infrastructure, he now oversees and optimizes the company’s operational activities, leveraging his deep experience and expansive network to drive growth and maintain the Group's competitive edge.

Costas holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

Roberto Bertocco, Archirodon’s Chief Operating Officer – Energy & Environment since November 2024, brings over 30 years of international leadership experience in the energy industry to his role.

Roberto’s career spans key leadership roles across Europe, Russia, India, the Middle East, Far East, and South America. His extensive experience within Petrofac and earlier with Maire Tecnimont Group includes executive roles such as Managing Director (Tecnimont ICB and Tecnimont Group), Chief Commercial Officer (in Tecnimont Group and later in Petrofac), CEO (Petrofac Emirates) while in both organizations he supported and implemented strategies to expand market reach, diversify services, and optimize global Oil & Gas operations. Most recently, at Petrofac, he served as Group Head of Technical Functions, being responsible of Engineering, Supply chain, Project Management, Construction, and Commissioning for global operations of the Group.

At Archirodon, he leverages the Group’s strengths while exploring new opportunities in the energy and environmental sectors. His strategic vision and expertise are vital as Archirodon navigates the energy transition and expands its footprint in emerging markets.

Roberto holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Padova University, Italy, and is fluent in English and Italian.

CFO

Idomeneas, Group’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since April 2024, is leading Archirodon’s strategic financial planning, overseeing all aspects of financial management  and strategic initiatives.

Idomeneas, who has been with Archirodon since 2012, brings to the Organization over twenty-three (23) years of professional experience in Financial Management. First as Reporting & Consolidation Manager, and then as Group Financial Controller, he has a solid knowledge of the Organization and significant experience and expertise in financial reporting and tax, budgeting, and forecasting along with major project management activities, including M&A transactions. Idomeneas started his career as a chartered accountant at Arthur Andersen and then at Ernst & Young (EY), where he rose to Senior Manager. His relationship with Archirodon started in 2002 through his auditing work.

He holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus in Greece and an MSc in Financial Management and Control from Aston Business School, Aston University in the UK.

Nektarios Mitsokapas is the Director of Archirodon’s Marine and Infrastructure Division, since its formation in 2019, with responsibility for a portfolio of marine, rail and civil infrastructure projects.

Nektarios has more than two decades of international experience in EPC contracts in the marine, infrastructure, and Oil&Gas sectors. At Archirodon he has held key construction, project management and estimating, tendering roles in Middle East, North Africa and Greece. 

Nektarios joined Archirodon in 1999, as a construction engineer, on the MIDTAP petroleum and coke loading terminal in Egypt. Over the years, he has successfully managed large and diverse teams in multimillion-dollar projects and has held key leadership positions on numerous projects across the Middle East and North Africa regions.  

Nektarios holds a Master’s degree in civil engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He is registered civil engineer in Greece, a member of Greek Institution of Civil Engineers.

Ahmed, currently acting as the Director of the Energy Division, brings three decades of international construction experience to his role.

With a strong track record in risk management, cost control, and contract management, he possesses extensive expertise in executing complex offshore projects.

During his tenure of over 20 years at Archirodon, Ahmed has held various senior management positions, initially specializing in controls and engineering before assuming the role of Regional Manager for Gulf operations in 2021. His contributions have been instrumental in the successful oversight of numerous high-profile projects across the UAE, Egypt, and Qatar.

He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt.

Ahmed's wealth of knowledge enriches our organization. In his current capacities, he is dedicated to fostering the strategic and sustainable growth of Archirodon.

Niels Ouendag is the Director of Archirodon’s Dredging and Pipelaying Division since October 2024.

Before joining Archirodon, Niels built his career at a Dutch multinational company, where he held various roles, primarily in the United States, eventually becoming the General Manager of their largest equipment sales and rental operation in North America.

With extensive experience in business operations and equipment management, Niels joined Archirodon in 2017 as Equipment Solutions Manager within the Dredging and Pipelaying Division. He was instrumental in establishing the in-house chartering business, establishing new revenue streams from company-owned equipment, expanding the client base, and diversifying market opportunities.

As Director of the Dredging and Pipelaying Division, he is now responsible for driving the Division's continued success, strengthening customer relationships, expanding business opportunities, and managing risks, while ensuring operational excellence and alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives.

Niels holds an MSc in International Economics and Business and a BSc in Economics from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

Daniel Grey is President and Chairman of AICI’s (American International Contractors, Inc.) Board of Directors since October 2013 and the Director of the Government  Services Division at Archirodon Group since April 2019.

Prior to joining Archirodon Group,  Daniel was the Division Vice President at Louis Berger Group (LBG) for two years. Throughout his career, he has led large engineering organizations and managed  multimillion-dollar infrastructure programs  .   He holds a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, a M.Sc. degree in General Engineering and  a M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Stanford University in the USA, as well as a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.

Khaled first joined Archirodon in 1988, at the beginning of his career. Since then, he has held various key engineering and  project management positions in the company’s landmark projects in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Khaled  holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.

Nikolaos Antonakis, Investment Department Director at Archirodon, brings over 16 years of expertise in engineering and finance.

His career is marked by significant roles in the Renewable Energy sector, excelling in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, project finance, project development, and EPC. His multifaceted expertise spans solar and wind energy technologies, energy communities, Greek energy laws, and risk management. Throughout his professional journey, he has achieved significant milestones, including the acquisition and development of PV portfolios, the successful facilitation of project finance, as well as the setup and development of respective teams.

Nikolaos holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics from the University of Patras, and a Chartered Financial Analyst certification from the CFA Institute.

Damianos Efthymiadis is the Business Development Department Director since 2022.

Prior to this role, Damianos served as Country Manager in Kazakhstan for almost a decade, where he established Archirodon in the new market of Central Asia and CIS countries, successfully laying strong foundations through important partnerships and securing solid business relationships with  clients and the local market. Damianos has more than 40 years of international business experience and unique industry expertise through long-term collaboration with corporate clients, such as HSBC, Bank of America, Pfizer, Lilly, etc. Prior to joining Archirodon, he organized and ran the operations for two large construction companies, designing and executing various prominent projects in the public sector. Damianos holds a B.Sc. in Architecture from the Sapienza University of Rome and a M.Sc. in Architecture and Renewable Energy from Ball State University.

Through her role, as Central Functions & Operations Control Director and Supply Chain Management (Transition Sponsor), Eliana provides direction and ensures the long-term growth of the Group’s Operations Control, Human Resources, Risk, Plant & Equipment, Geotechnical, Survey, Diving and Supply Chain departments.  In addition, her role is instrumental in Committees or Steering Groups that lead the group to the new era.  Entrusted with the responsibility to design and implement crucial group-wide initiatives of strategic importance in partnership with key stakeholders in the company, she works towards helping the organization adjust to the changing environment while promoting cooperation of all stakeholders and leading to higher performance and better results. Her insight into new trends, coupled with her deep knowledge of the EPC industry, put her in a unique position to advance the sharing of knowledge within the company focusing on the continuous improvement of the company’s operations performance.   

Eliana holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering and an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in the UK and a Certificate in Advanced Management Programme from INSEAD in France.

Kostas is the Engineering & Design Director since 2006 and is responsible for the Group’s Design Services and Technical Support to all projects throughout the world, to regional tendering teams, as well as to the company’s regional offices and other divisions and functions.

Being in close contact with external partners and prospective clients, while following the engineering market developments and adopting best engineering practices and tools, he is at the forefront of exploring and evaluating new opportunities to meet operational needs. Before joining Archirodon in 2006, Kostas held similar managerial positions in Greece and the USA, where he started his professional career in 1989. Since then, he has an uninterrupted research activity in the field, leading to several publications over the years.  

Kostas holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and has completed postgraduate studies in the University of Southern California (USC), California USA. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a Registered Civil Engineer in the  State of California, USA.

Andreas (coming from a leading Law firm in Greece) joined Archirodon in September 2007 and assumed the role of Legal & Contract Director of the Group in March 2022.

Andreas bears a rich and versatile cross-border experience of more than 20 years in legal advisory, contract management, corporate/commercial transactions, international arbitration, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), crisis management and legal strategy in several industry sectors.  

Applying the highest standards of care, together with a niche, agile team of legal advisors and contract managers, he supports the entire spectrum of Archirodon’s operations globally. Andreas has efficiently handled unprecedented legal challenges with a mission to consistently safeguard Archirodon’s interests and business continuity.  

He holds an LLB and an LLM from Cardiff University, UK. He is included in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist in recognition of his high-quality legal work.

Panos is the Tendering Director of the Group since 2011. Throughout his 30 years with Archirodon, he has acquired extensive industry expertise and held key construction, project management, and executive leadership roles.

Having joined as a junior engineer, he gradually gained experience across complex multi-discipline international projects, in close cooperation with some of the top international clients and partners in the construction industry.  

Panos, in his capacity as Tendering Director, has contributed to the organization's sustainable growth and maintained an essential role in developing the company’s diversified presence in new countries and markets. Thanks to his experience, integrity, and loyalty, combined with his analytical and synthetical skills, he remains a key player in negotiating and securing successful new projects. 

He holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

Nafsika, Human Resources Director, is responsible for Archirodon’s human resources globally and the company-wide HR strategy, systems and operations.

Nafsika joined Archirodon in 2015 as People Section Manager in the Human Resources Department, designing Talent Management and HR Infrastructure policies and systems. In September 2020, she was assigned to her current position, overseeing the governance of people-related policies, including Manpower Planning, Recruitment, HR Operations & Employee Relations, Rewards, Learning & Development, HR Infrastructure & Systems and HR Data & Analytics. Through her role, Nafsika partners with all Divisions, Departments and Regions to ensure that the business strategy and needs are aligned with the Group’s HR initiatives and curricula.  

Having more than twenty-two (22) years of professional experience in the field of HR, Nafsika is a people-oriented leader, who brings into her role a deep understanding of the vital part that HR plays in an organization, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of HR practices to unleash the employees’ inherent potential.  

Prior to joining Archirodon, Nafsika worked for eleven (11) years in two multinational boutique HR Consulting firms, Hay Group/Korn Ferry and Aon Hewitt, and in HR Operations at the Hilton Hotel in Athens, from where she started her career.

Nafsika Zevgoli is Archirodon’s ESG & Sustainability Director, since September 2024.

With over 25 years of experience in ESG strategy, management, reporting and assurance, Nafsika is responsible for advancing Archirodon's sustainability objectives and integrating ESG principles across operations.

Before joining Archirodon, Nafsika was a Partner at Ernst & Young (EY), leading the Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team for the South Cluster. She has held key positions leading the ESG and Sustainability agenda in large multinational companies in the construction and telecommunications sectors, including ELLAKTOR Group, Spiecapag-Aktor JV (Trans-Adriatic Pipeline project), and Vodafone Greece.

Nafsika holds an MSc in Environmental Assessment and Evaluation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK. She is also certified in Sustainability and Climate Risk by GARP and is a Certified Sustainable Supply Chain Professional from ISCEA.

Ahmed is the Regional Manager of Archirodon’s Gulf operations as of 2021 and has almost 30 years of diverse experience in international construction, predominantly in the marine infrastructure sector.

He has a strong track record in risk management, cost control, and contract management with extensive expertise in operations and execution, including delivering complex offshore projects. 

Ahmed has served Archirodon for more than 20 years, in a variety of senior management roles initially within controls and engineering and then moving over to regional management. He has worked on numerous high-profile projects in locations including UAE, Egypt and Qatar. 

He brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization and in his current role as Regional Manager-Gulf focuses on the strategic and sustainable growth of Archirodon’s presence in the region.

Nasim is the Regional Manager in Saudi Arabia since March 2021 and has more than 35 years of diverse experience in business development, investment, construction and management of different portfolios across the Middle East region.

Nasim joined Archirodon Group in 2016 as the Regional Business Development Manager (covering Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan) and has been instrumental in the growth of the company in the region.  

Throughout his career, Nasim has held a succession of executive leadership, operational, and general management positions. His broad experience in project development and EPC execution ranges from smaller-scale projects to mega projects across multiple industries, including mix use, retail, healthcare, education, hospitality, and public facilities. 

He holds a B.Sc. degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University, USA.

Tamer is the Regional Manager of the North Africa region for Archirodon Group since 2019 and has nearly three decades of operations and project leadership expertise within the construction industry.

Having joined Archirodon in 1999, Tamer has been involved in all aspects of project management and execution, including the engineering, procurement and construction of power plants, NGL export facilities, port terminals, quay structures and the installation of pipelines. 

His extensive experience, in both large and smaller-scale projects, spans the Middle East region covering countries such as Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar. 

In his current role, as Regional Manager of North Africa, Tamer leads the coordination of business development operations and client/partner relationships. 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering and has completed post-graduate studies in Geotechnical Engineering, both at Ain Shams University, Egypt.

Samuel is the Regional Manager of Western Africa as of May 2021 and has close to 30 years of diverse experience in engineering, construction, and project management roles, with expertise in the civil and marine infrastructure sectors.

Samuel reinforces the business development of new prospects in Western Africa to support business growth. His contributions have been essential in building Archirodon’s solid presence in Morocco and in establishing the regional office. 

He began his Archirodon career in 2004. He went on to hold key project leadership positions on EPC projects in the Middle East and Europe. He has spent more than 10 years managing strategic marine and infrastructure projects as well as complex buildings for prestigious clients. 

He holds a B.Sc. degree in structural and civil engineering from Alexandria University in Egypt and is a member of the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate.

Ioannis is the Director of the Europe Region/Business Unit since October 2020.

Prior to joining Archirodon Group, he was the General Director of AKTOR S.A. for 7 years. During his career, Ioannis  has held the position of Project Director in various Railway, Highway, Building and Infrastructure Projects, in Greece, Middle East and the Balkans. Ioannis graduated from Salford University in the UK with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, while he also holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.

Damianos Efthymiadis is the Regional Manager of the Central Asia Region since January 2014.

Damianos has served as the Country Manager in Kazakhstan for almost a decade, where he established Archirodon in the new market of Central Asia and CIS countries, successfully laying strong foundations through important partnerships and securing solid business relationships with  clients and the local market. Damianos has more than 40 years of international business experience and unique industry expertise through long-term collaboration with corporate clients, such as HSBC, Bank of America, Pfizer, Lilly, etc. Prior to joining Archirodon, he organized and ran the operations for two large construction companies, designing and executing various prominent projects in the public sector. Damianos holds a B.Sc. in Architecture from the Sapienza University of Rome and a M.Sc. in Architecture and Renewable Energy from Ball State University.
