Archirodon's Athens Office Earns BREEAM Certification
23 May 2023Our office, in Athens, Greece has achieved the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certification for sustainable refurbishment and fit-out. This internationally recognized green building certification system addresses sustainability requirements for existing buildings, significantly reducing environmental impact during the refurbishment process. Archirodon's Athens office buildings stand at the forefront of sustainability, by being the first in Greece to receive the final BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit-Out certification. Comprising three floors and a basement level, the "Eirini" and "Filia" buildings cover approximately 10,000 m2.
The BREEAM certification involves a comprehensive assessment of 10 categories, including energy, water, materials, waste, transport, land use and ecology, pollution, innovation, management, and health and well-being. Notably, Archirodon's buildings excelled in several areas, securing the highest certification levels in land use and ecology, pollution, transport, materials, and waste. This achievement underscores Archirodon's commitment to fostering sustainable work environments and highlights the company's dedication to enhancing comfort and efficiency in office buildings.
