The Doha Metro - one of the most outstanding projects of Qatar - is a state-of-the art, automated rail network, crossing the city of Doha. It promotes the use of public transport in the country and is one of the primary contributing factors to the accomplishment of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Red Line is a rapid transit line of the Doha Metro, running for 40km from Al Wakra to Lusail. ARCHIRODON executed in Joint Venture the Design & Construction of approximately 7.3km-long metro line (viaduct double on piers), 1km road underpass with associated tunnel.
The execution of three stations - namely Qatar Economic Zone Station (elevated), Ras Bu Fontas Station (half at-grade & half elevated) and Al Wakra North (elevated) - was also part of the scope.
